Economic Development Funding

In 1984, the citizens of Pueblo, Colorado gave their  approval for adding a half cent sales tax on themselves to create funding for economic development and to bring primary jobs to the area.  Since 1984, the extension of the half cent sales tax has continually received  their approval.  Thousands of primary jobs have been brought to Pueblo through the continued support of this measure.  The half cent sales tax fund is unique to Colorado and can only be found in Pueblo.  These funds are available to prospective companies in addition to other  incentives listed below:

  • City of Pueblo Sales and Use Tax (within city limits)
  • Pueblo Community College Customized Training (within city limits)
  • Personal Property Tax Credit or Abatement (eligible county wide)
  • Board of Water Works Tap, Meter & Plant Water Investment Incentives

Colorado Incentives

  • State Economic Development Incentives (eligible state wide)
  • Pueblo Urban Enterprise Zone (eligible in designated boundaries)
  • State of Colorado Customized Job Training Program (eligible state wide)
  • Colorado & Pueblo Tax Credits

Note: incentives are subject to approval from all issuing agencies.  Other state and local tax credits may be available.
