Metro Denver EDC and Pueblo Economic Development Corporation Unite to Boost Front Range Prosperity

PUEBLO, Colo. – September 22, 2025

The Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO) have forged a groundbreaking alliance to drive economic prosperity across Colorado’s Front Range. This partnership leverages Pueblo’s strengths in industries from high tech and advanced manufacturing to critical steel production and outdoor recreation to attract business in the region.

This collaboration marks a new chapter in regional cooperation, focusing on shared goals to enhance economic opportunities. By combining Metro Denver’s dedication to regional collaboration and Pueblo’s business friendly environment, innovative economic incentive tools, and skilled workforce, the partnership aims to position the Front Range as a top destination for growing advanced industries and job-fueling industrial developments. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) formalizes this commitment, emphasizing mutually coordinated efforts to unlock economic opportunity for every Coloradan.

Raymond H. Gonzales, President of Metro Denver EDC, highlighted the impact of this new chapter for the Front Range: “This alliance with PEDCO strengthens our ability to showcase the Front Range as a dynamic region for business expansion. Pueblo’s unique assets, paired with Metro Denver’s economic engine, create a powerful synergy for growth.”

Jeff Shaw, President & CEO of PEDCO, echoed these sentiments, adding: “we are excited to join this incredibly talented alliance.  The Front Range is an amazing economic engine and we look forward to helping make it even more dynamic by bringing Pueblo’s assets into the conversation.  It is an honor to be part of the team.”

Central to this partnership is the Metro Denver Code of Ethics, a commitment to fostering fair competition and cooperation among neighboring communities, endorsed by organizations and communities across 12 counties and nearly 130 communities, including the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT). This regional charter promotes collaboration and coordination, ensuring communities work together to achieve shared prosperity and economic resilience.
